
Keraton Yogyakarta
Kraton Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat is the official palace of the Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat Sultanate which is now located in the City of Yogyakarta, Special Region of Yogyakarta. Yogyakarta Palace is in the center of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Inside there are many buildings that are used as residences for the sultan and his family as well as courtiers of the palace. In the north there is the north square and in the south there is the south square and about 10 minutes from the Malioboro area.
The Yogyakarta Palace was started by Sultan Hamengku Buwono I a few months after the Giyanti Agreement in 1755. The Yogyakarta Palace was used as the residence of its kings who are still carrying out the sultanate tradition.
Physically, the palace of the Sultans of Yogyakarta has seven core complexes, namely Siti Hinggil Ler (North Hall), Kamandhungan Ler (North Kamandhungan), Sri Manganti, Kedhaton, Kamagangan, Kamandhungan Kidul (South Kamandhungan), and Siti Hinggil Kidul (South Hall). In addition, the Yogyakarta Palace has various cultural heritages, both in the form of ceremonies and ancient and historic objects. On the other hand, the Yogyakarta Palace is also a traditional institution complete with its traditional holders. Therefore, it is not surprising that philosophical values ??as well as mythology surround the Yogyakarta Palace.
